London Gang Graffiti
Graffiti comes in various forms:

Los Angeles has various styles of gang graffiti, most commonly the highly stylised 'placas' of Hispanic gangs and the simple aggressive territorial scrawlings of African-American gangs. London gangs predominantly create graffiti that is similar to the African-American gangs although rather than using spray paint there is a tendency to write "marker graffiti" or "postcode graffiti" to mark territory (E8 Bang Bang), express their association to an area (Rizla E5) or pay respect to fallen gangs members (R.I.P Fatboy). It has become increasingly common for gangs when in rival territory to cross out the postcodes on the road side and replacing them (N15X N22)

Gang Graffiti on the Urban Landscape (Link)
Most of these images i havent taken myself although i am planning on adding my own in the near future. Thank you to those urban photographers out there who are taking these pictures (Nicobobinus in particular). If these are your pictures and you dont want them on here please let us know at englandgangs@hotmail.co.uk
Both of the above were taken at Shropshire House on the Shires Estate in Edmonton N18 (Strap City area). References to Edmonton Man Dem (E.M.D) and Every Man Hustles (E.M.H). This graffiti is territorial rather than aggressive
The above pictures are not strictly gang graffiti but the pictures are from two gang areas in Greenwich. Above left was taken on the Ferrier Estate and above right on the Cherry Orchard Estate.
The picture above left is more territorial on the individuals (Hazzard) part and is from a Gilpin Square younger in Hackney E5. Above right is a common piece across northwest London (Brent) by a predominantly graffiti crew known as UGA (UnderGroundAttack is the main usage of the UGA acronym).
Above left is aggressive graffiti (E14 on top of E3) with the E14 being done by an Asian gang from Burdett Estate E14. Above right is more territorial with gang members names around the sign (Tiverton Man Dem territory in south Tottenham).
Above left is in Ponders End, Enfield, about 5 miles away from E5/E8 (both Hakcney). Both tags are aggressive, the first crossing out EN3 for E5, then the second denoting E8 on top of E5. Above right again is aggressive graffiti towards Ilford and Wood Green (Fuck Ilford, Fuck Wood Green) written by a Walthamstow (E17) youth.
Above left is territorial (W10 Grove and Tavistock Road W11). Above right is not strictly gang graffiti although could be territorial with SE7 being home to a gang from the Cherry Orchard Estate.
Above left is territorial (E15 Canning Town, Newham, East London) as is above right 'Fat D N16' written in the Lordship area.
Both pieces here are aggressive. Above left the N15 (Tiverton Man Dem area) has been crossed out by rival area Wood Green N22. Above right is aggressive graffiti by Stamford Hill Man Dem N16 written at a bus stop in E9.
Above left is both aggressive and territorial 'E8 Bang Bang' (Hackney). Above right is also aggressive with the N18 (Edmonton) being crossed out by rival area N17 (Tottenham).
Above left, territorial graffiti on the Chestnut Estate (C.E. N15). Above right aggressive territorial graffiti on the Trowbridge Estate E9 - 'We Run T[h]ingz'
Unity (E13 + E15) in Plaistow and Stratford, aggressive graffiti toward Canning Town E16 from Manor Park E12, both the London Borough of Newham.
Above left, aggressive graffiti (YGB - Lewisham SE London) in Hackney E8. Above right, W2/W9/W10 alliance, London Borough of Westminster.
